APPLIED PHYSICS 1A Course HS3247

Grade Level: 11 or 12
Career Pathways: Required for all pathways.
Description: This course is recommended for students who have completed Biology, Applied Chemistry, as well as a science elective of your choice. Successful completion of the course as well as the others fore mentioned will satisfy your science requirements. Students will explore the following topics:
Semester 1:
Graphing/Scientific Method
Newton’s laws of motion
Forces & Energy conversions
Simple machines & Work Electricity & Magnetism
Sound & Light Waves
Semester 2:
Electromagnetic Waves
Light
Movements of the earth
Solar Systems
Stars and Star groups
Sun
Geological Time
